Waynetown, April 4 - Mrs. Effie May Gray, 68 died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Adah Myers, of Waynetown Saturday morning at 11 30 o'clock.  Mrs. Gray had been in failing health for two years and had been bedfast for the past year.  Born March 5 (smudged) 1874 in Jackson Township, Fountain County she was the daughter of Elijah and Rachel Philpott Lowe.  She was thrice married.  Her first marriage was in 1854 to Joe Clore who died many years ago.  She later was married to Dr. Eugene Rice whose death took place in 1909.  About nine years later she was married to John Gray who preceded her in death on March 4, 1932.  Mrs. Gray who had spent all of her life in the Wallace and Waynetown communities was a member of the Christian Church at Wallace. The survivors include her aged mother, Mrs. Rachel Lowe who also lived at the Myers residence and a number of nieces and nephews. Two brother, Bayless and Roscoe Lowe and a sister, Chloe preceded her in death.  Funeral services were held Monday morning at 9 o'clock at the Grenard Funeral Home in Waynetown with Rev. John Servies officiating. Burial wa sin Waynetown cemetery. - kbz
